The Brief
The Prototype
-
We’re looking to design a clean, intuitive UI for a job board app that absolutely anyone can use. The platform should make discovering, saving, and applying for jobs easy and engaging. For users who are job hunting frequently or passively browsing on mobile.
-
Design a modern, visually appealing interface that feels welcoming and aspirational
Ensure job listings are easy to scan and filter
Include a job detail screen with key info surfaced clearly
Provide a user dashboard to manage saved jobs, applications, and recommendations
Create a simple, frictionless onboarding experience for new users
-
Young professionals (ages 22–35) in creative or digital fields, often browsing jobs on mobile. They value good UX, strong visuals, and platforms that “get” the job-hunting experience.
-
Friendly but professional, with a clean, minimal look. Not too corporate, more like Notion or Figma than LinkedIn. Accessibility is important, and the UI should feel inclusive and easy to use for a diverse audience.
-
5-10 high-fidelity UI screens
Mobile-first layout
Prototype to show general flow
The Designs
The goal was to create an intuitive, user-friendly experience for job seekers, with a focus on accessibility, clarity, and visual hierarchy.
I focused on these key screens: a straight-forward start page, a clean and scannable job listings page, an interactive job detail view, a personalised user dashboard, a saved jobs area, an onboarding flow.
I aimed to balance functionality with a clean, contemporary aesthetic to make browsing and applying for jobs feel seamless and stress-free.
Note: This was a self-initiated project to sharpen my UI design skills, experiment with micro-interactions and prototyping and explore how visual design can help reduce friction in the job search experience.
