Conversational Interface
Conversational Interface
AI Spaces Booking
This proof-of-concept explored how users could book spaces using a conversational interface powered by AI. The goal was to allow users to bulk-book resources—like reserving a desk at the same time every day—through a chatbot, rather than using the existing manual process.
While I had reservations about the direction (I felt the challenge could’ve been better solved through a more intuitive UI rather than relying on AI), I took this as an opportunity to dive into conversational design and explore how natural language interactions could integrate with existing workflows.
Key Considerations
Designed a sleep, chat-style UI to support space booking via AI interaction.
Considered the flow for bulk-booking spaces across days/weeks.
Balanced form function to keep things user friendly and intuitive.
Reflected critically on the solution, offering alternative journey suggestions to improve user experience beyond AI.
Used this brief as an opportunity to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to challenging concepts.
Outcomes
The result was a clean, friendly interface that handled multi-step bookings in a more human way. If developed further, I’d love to evolve this concept into something more context-aware by offering proactive suggestions, real-time validation, and fallback paths for more clarity and control.
